Head Chef / Head Cook
Hadden Hill Golf Club is a welcoming, well-established club located in the heart of Oxfordshire. Known for its friendly atmosphere and beautifully maintained course, we offer a relaxed yet professional environment for golfers and guests alike. Our clubhouse is a hub for members, visitors, and private events – from weekend breakfasts to society lunches, and private functions.
We are now seeking a passionate, experienced Head Chef / Head Cook to lead our kitchen team and elevate the food offering across all areas of the club.
Duties:
Lead and manage the kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
Plan, prepare, and deliver a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and occasional dinners or event catering
Plan and create innovative meals that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain quality standards.
Manage inventory control and minimizing waste.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Help accommodate special dietary needs.
Supervise catering events.
Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Head Chef, Head Cook, or Sous Chef in a commercial kitchen
Passion for delivering quality, freshly prepared food
Excellent knowledge of food safety standards (Level 2 or 3 Food Hygiene Certificate preferred)
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and some evenings for events
Reliable, organised, and able to work independently
