| On behalf of the Ladies' Section may I welcome you to Hadden Hill Golf Club. Although a fairly young club we are now well established and hope to offer you the golf you re looking for, whether as a beginner or a more experience player.
Detailed below and enclosed is some useful information which should help you to decide if this is the right club for you, for any further information please contact Adrian Smith Club Secretary who can show you around the club 01235 510 410
What you can expect as a Ladies Member at Hadden Hill
Although as a member of Hadden Hill Golf Club you can phone the ProShop and book your own tee time, you might also be interested in joining the two sessions per week of ladies' golf.
On most Saturdays the ladies meet at proximately 10:15 for a 10:30 am tee-off. This is casual and friendly golf and we would be pleased to see you there once you have become a member however, NB You must sign up on the sheet on the Ladies' notice board or ‘phone the Club (tele: 01235 510410) by Thursday evening to put your name down. The first Saturday in the month is usually Medal Day (ie. a competition) so until you know your way around the system either check the ladies' notice-board in the club house or telephone the Ladies Captain (tel No will be given once you with your membership pack) Even if there is a competition it is often still possible to find someone to play with you. We would be delighted to help you through your first visits to the Club.
On Tuesdays the ladies meet at about 10am for a 10:15 tee-off. The first Tuesday in each month is usually Medal day (ie. a competition) and there are often competitions on other Tuesday, so please check the notice board or the enclosed programme. Please give me, or one of the ladies mentioned below, a ring if you are in any doubt about what is expected and what you can and can't play in. For example, even if there is a competition on a particular Tuesday there are often ladies who are free to play non-competitively and who would be pleased to play with you. If you turn up unexpectedly we can usually arrange something.
These more casual times provide you with a good opportunity to meet other lady members, so please make every effort to join us. Although the usual intention is to play 18 holes on these days if time is a premium then please let the ‘captain of the day' know; she can normally arrange for someone to play 9 holes with you.
DRESS CODE
A reasonable, smart standard of dress if required. For example no denim jeans or leggings are allowed. Shirts must have collars and shorts must be tailored and of a reasonable length (tennis shorts are not appropriate). It is preferred that shirts are tucked in but this is not essential other than for matches.
HANDICAPS
To obtain a handicap you will need to submit three cards (the score is not important); however, each card must be marked by a person who already has a handicap. Once you have a handicap you can enter competitions.
Any one of the ladies, including the Ladies Cpatin will be pleased to help you through your first few weeks at the club (and afterwards of course, should you need advice or assistance on any matter) and the telephone numbers of the committee members will be given to you with your membership pack.
I look forward to meeting you in the very near future. In the meantime may I wish you ‘Happy Golfing' at Hadden Hill GC.
